At this age group, with proper guidance, your child will start to be active in the water. At Isplash Swim School, our toddler swimming lessons aim to build your child’s water confidence and to prepare them for proper swimming techniques.

Our lessons syllabus are based on the Singapore Swimming Teachers’ Association and SwimSafer programme.

Education on water safety for toddlers and parents

Our coaches will educate parents on the responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of their toddlers in and outside the pool. 

This includes identifying the various hazards and practicing the various techniques of entries and exits. 

Physiological and psychological benefits

Various research has shown that children who have taken swim lessons at a young age are associated with various benefits. Some of the benefits include developing cognitive functions,  muscle strength and control, coordination, confidence, and communication skills. 

Promotes family bonding

To reduce anxiety for your toddler, we require parents to join us for the lessons. By participating in the swim lessons, parents will be able to better understand the developmental achievements and milestones of their child.

Q. What is the difference between “toddlers” and “kids” group classes?

Age

If your child Is between 2 and 5 years old, he/she will be suitable for our toddlers' swimming class.

If your child is 5 years and above, he/she will be suitable for our kids' swimming class.

Class size

For toddlers' swimming class, we hold a maximum of 6 students per class.

For kids' swimming class, we follow the swimsafer guideline of a maximum of 10 students per class at Activesg pools and 8 students at Isplash @ The Chevrons.

Syllabus

We follow a different syllabus designed specifically for the different age groups.

Q. Do I need to accompany my child during the lessons?

For toddlers swimming class, we will require at least one parent to accompany your child to the pool for the first few lessons to reduce their anxiety. 

We do not require parents to be in the pool for the kids' swimming class.

Q. I cannot make it to Isplash Swim School’s in-house swimming class.

We will do our best to match your preferred schedule and venue with our affiliated coaches. However, please note that the syllabus and fees might have variations.
