SwimSafer Stage 2 Award:

Swimsafer Stage 2 Award, the second stage of the SwimSafer Programme focuses on developing and improving the skills of students such as stepping in entry, surface diving with feet first and doing drills to promote water safety. At this stage, the aim is for students to be able to swim 25 metres continuously.

Entries & Exits Perform a step in entry.
Sculling & Body Orientation Demonstrate sculling in an upright position for 10 seconds with arms only.
Demonstrate ability to change direction on command.
Underwater Skills Search for and recover an object in chest deep water depth.
Demonstrate a feet-first surface dive.
Movement/ Swimming/Strokes Any stroke- 25m forward movement .
Survival & Activity skills Dressed in swimwear, shorts and t-shirt swim 15m.
Demonstrate flotation survival technique for one minute.
Correctly fit a PFD, jump into the water and swim for five meters and climb out of deep water.
Knowledge Water safety rules in different aquatic environments.
